MP govt to live upto people’s expectations

Chief Minister  Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Madhya Pradesh government will live upto people’s expectations. No stone will be left unturned in providing basic amenities to people. He urged all sections of society to cooperate with the efforts of Madhya Pradesh government for all-round development of the state. The Chief Minister was addressing an “Aao Banayen Apna Madhya Pradesh” convention at Singrauli today. On the occasion, he distributed assistance amounts and material worth Rs. 22 crore 50 lakh to over 5600 beneficiaries under various schemes. He inaugurated works costing Rs. 16 crore 71 lakh and laid foundation stones for Rs. 13 crore 89 lakh works.

The Chief Minister administered pledge to people to plant saplings, maintain hygiene, construct toilets, conserve water, respect women and de-addict village. The Chief Minister said that every possible effort is being made to make agriculture profitable and improve living standard of the poor. They are being provided wheat, rice and iodised salt at the rate of Re. 1 per kg and free medicines. Efforts are also being made for their proper housing. As many as 15 lakh houses will be constructed for the poor in next 5 years. Proper arrangements have been made for education. Free books, uniform, cycles as well as scholarships are being given to students. Laptops will be given to students securing over 85 percent marks in class XII exam and smart phones to students taking admission in colleges. Assistance worth Rs. 15 lakh will be provided to students going on study abroad.
The Chief Minister said that Mining Engineering College will be opened at Singrauli and college at Mada. Funds will be allocated for buildings of girls colleges at Baidhan and Murwa. He also announced local development works.

Public Relations and Energy Minister  Rajendra Shukla also spoke on the occasion. MP  Govind Mishra, MLAs  Ramlallu Bais,  Rajendra Meshram,  Kunwar Sing Tekam, other public representatives and large number of people were present on the occasion. The Chief Minister also performed Kanya Poojan. He blessed 140 newly wed couples at mass marriage function. He also gave away National Savings Certificate to beneficiaries of Ladli Laxmi Yojana.
