MP first in malnutrition, corruption, rape: Nagma

NAGMA WITH PC SHAMRA FOR LOK SABHA CAMPAIGNStaff Reporter, Bhopal
Firing a broadside at the BJP-ruled Madhya Pradesh Government, Bollywood starlet and Congress leader Nagma today said the state stood first in malnutrition, corruption, rapes and several other areas.
“Seventy-eight lakh youths are suffering because of the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB) scam. What is the problem behind not ordering a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the scam, when the BJP is so confident that their party is coming to power at the Centre,” Nagma told reporters here.

“Over Rs 400 crore sent by the Centre for compensation to farmers for

crop loss does not reach them. Earlier, about Rs 200 crore was provided by the Centre for damage to soybean crops but it was not distributed,” she alleged.

Denying that the Centre had meted out any discrimination to Madhya Pradesh, Nagma said that central funds allocated for the state has increased from Rs 3,500 crore to Rs 50,000 crore.

Flaying the BJP government over the issue of corruption, Nagma said that 13 State Ministers were under  the Lokayukta scanner, but no action was being taken against them.      She also took a dig at Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan for making announcements of Rs 2,600 crore but not implementing them.    Slamming the BJP government for rising number of rapes, she said, “‘Kansa’ was the biggest ‘Mama (maternal uncle) followed by ‘Shakuni’, while ‘Shiv’ stood at number three.” Nagma called upon people not be swayed by one “Feku Express” that has started from Gujarat and the other one that is in Madhya Pradesh.

Replying to a query over her reported vexation at a rally here, she denied stating that she could not complete her speech because of certain technical problem and her voice not being audible.
