Modi’s Three Years

From the day one the Modi Government of the Bhartiya Janata Party of being the first non Congress Government of its own majority. In a Parliamentary System is it a very healthy sign of the democracy.

In between only Janata Party came to power with its own majority but it was hasty amalgamation of many parties and disintegrated soon. The main poll plank of the Party was the firm commitment of bringing back the huge black money of Indians in the foreign banks. Mr.Narendra Modi roared all over India about it but the Modi Government has totally failed and flopped so miserably that Mr.Modi and entire party maintaining a stony silence over it.

The Party President Mr.Amit Shah belittled it by saying it was just a sentence and not to be taken seriously. But the parties and public were pursing it constantly and under such compulsions the Modi Government demonetized the big currency notes in the form of Rs.1000 and Rs.500 rupee notes. But it bungled on it by withdrawing the demonetized currency without printing its new replacement.

Furthermore it demonetized the Rs.1000 rupees of big value on the ground of its being major sources of black money but itself introduced 2000 rupee notes which itself mostly became the ‘black money’. People suffered a lot due to non-availability of replacement. The Rs.2000 currency notes itself became black money. During the Government the prices of sugar gone up from Rs.12 per kg to Rs.40 per kilo and pulses prices rose upto 200 per kg from the price of Rs.12-15 per kg.

The Modi urged the farmers to enhance pulses cultivation and they did it. The Government announced the pre minimum support price rates but for the first time it failed to pay support prices to the farmers. But despite all this the people see no alternative to the BJP because of recently in U.P. the party won 73 out of 80 Lok Sabha seat and also repeated its improved performance in the Vidhan Sabha election it won 325 out of 403 seats and returned to power after 14 years.

Now it claims that even if there election right now the party will come back at the centre again and it has already targeted winning other states. In 2014 when Modi came to power the party has Government in 7 states – Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Rajasthan and Goa and coalition government in Punjab and Andhra.

After 3 years in 2017 the party has Government in 17 states – Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Arunachal Pradesh and coalition government in Goa, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Andhra Pradesh, Manipur, Nagaland, Sikkim, Assam and Maharashtra. In three years it has gained strength and public support and claims that it will return to power at the centre 2019 and in other states.
