Gujarat Chief Minister and BJP s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, BJP President Rajnath Singh, former Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda wave towards supporters during Vijay-Sankalp rally in Ranchi on Sunday.
BJP Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi today said it was an appropriate time for people of Jharkhand to take stern decision for themselves as the state has entered into 13th year which is considered an age of proper development.
“At the age of 13 one can feel physical and mental change with a change in thought”, Mr Modi said while addressing ‘Vijay Sankalp rally’ at Jagannath maidan at Dhurva area.
“The period of 13 to 18 is also considered the age of transformation and direction of life is also finalised at this age hence its upto people of this state to take decision and opt for a government which could bring development for them”, Mr Modi said.
“There are 14 Lok Sabha seats and election for these seats would be held in 2014 hence citizens of this state should ensure that all these seats should go in BJP fold”, Mr Modi said.
“Don’t waste the period of 13 to 18 as these years would also decided the fate of Jharkhand and also give a strong base to the state”, he said.
Referring to Heavy Engineering Corporation (HEC), Mr Modi said the factory was once pride for the nation but unfortunately it went into losses and number of its employees lost their jobs.
The downfall of HEC clearly indicates that Union government lacked strong will power, Mr Modi said, adding that condition of almost all the Public Sector Units was more or less same.
Citing the example of Gujrat State Fertiliser Coropration (GSFC), Mr Modi said the unit was on the verge of closure when he took the charge of Gujarat as its Chief Minister and people belonging to the workers union of that unit had approached me to revive the unit. “Now that unit is counted among one of the most profit making PSUs of the country”,the Gujrat CM said.
“What I did to revive the GSFC…I focussed on upgradation of technology, improved the management team and curtailed the expense of the unit”, he said, adding that similar steps should also be taken to improve the conditions of other PSUs which are on the verge of closure.
