In the case of the hijacking of a Dial 100 police vehicle and kidnapping of a young girl in Panna last week, new thing came into light. Another minor girl was kidnapped.
According to her parents, the police did not register FIR after they informed the police station about threat calls from the accused.The only child of her parents of 16, who lives in Pawai, was abducted by Pramod Vishwakarma, 30.
On January 29 and 30, when the family received threat calls on the mobile phone, a complaint was lodged at the Pawai police station. The family said that the police did not act. The caller was identified as Pramod Vishwakarma who is a cable network operator.
On February 1, the parents of minor switched on the speaker of their phone for the police to listen to the conversation and played an audio clip. It was heard that,”Hand over your girl to me else, I will chop off your limbs, you will become a beggar.”
The mother of the girl said when she asked police to lodge an FIR on February 1, police turned her away. Police said that they will ask the caller not to make calls. Shakun said that she still has the clip saved in her mobile.
On February 2, her daughter was kidnapped. The police registered an FIR in the evening, after media created pressure.The mother of the minor told that, she had gone to fetch water from a well and her husband was away in the farm field when the incident took place.
Bhagat Singh Dhurve SDO (Police) said that a case was registered under section 363 (kidnapping) and investigations are on to track the kidnapper and the girl. He said that the location of the phone was found somewhere in Gujarat.He said a police team is being dispatched to track the kidnapper.
