Mayor Alok Sharma has directed the BMC staff to undertake the manual cleaning of nullahs where the JCB and poklain machines cannot be fitted.
During the Mayor Chaupal on Tuesday, people apprised the Mayor about the problems being faced by them due nullahs that have not been cleaned. They said the nullahs would start overflowing with the onset of monsoon.
The residents of Kotra Sultanabad informed that the nullah near the Chitragupta Nagar has not been cleaned as JCB and poklain machines cannot be fitted in the nullah. Mayor Alok Sharma has directed the BMC staff to undertake the manual cleaning of nullahs where the JCB and poklain machines cannot be fitted.
People in the state capital raised the issue of acute water scarcity in their localities in the Mayor Chaupal on Monday. People complained about the low pressure and erratic water supply and stated that they are at the mercy of private water tankers suppliers.
Mayor Alok Sharma assured that the problems will be redressed with the Rs 5 crore available in Chaupal fund. Mayor assured that corporators concern will visit the localities with a team of engineers to deal with the issues in water supply.
Mayor assured to address the demands of the residents of Samanvay Nagar, who approached Chaupal for bulk connections. He instructed for installation of plastic water tanks in slums.BMC water cell would fill water tank daily.
