Make registration for plantation work

Bhopal : Chief Minister Shivraj singh Chouhan said that each and every person should be apprised of the plantation programme to be held in July. He told members of the Jan Abhiyan Parishad that registration activity for volunteers should be carried out at campaign level.

Chouhan was addressing the meeting of District/Division Coordinators and Task Managers of Jan Abhiyan Parishad at the state office of Parishad today. Minister for Planning, Economics and Statistics Dr. Gaurishankar Shejwar and Chairman Mineral Development Corporation Shiv Choubey were also present in the meeting. CM Chouhan mentioned that registration work for plantation should be carried out on war footing.

Efforts in a planned manner should be made to publicise it at wide level. Coordination should be established with the concerned government departments. Peoples’ participation will make the programme successful. Chouhan said that a campaign to link people with plantation programme will be conducted from Environment Day i.e. June 5.

Before this, all the necessary arrangements and work to coordinate and contact religious, social organizations, persons and public representatives should be undetaken. Appreciating the commitment, hard work and devotion, Chouhan mentioned that Parishad has established its different image in the country. He further mentioned that it is necessary to maintain an atmosphere of public awareness after the Seva Yatra.

Activeness of members of Narmada Seva Committees should be continued in maintenance of ghats, sanitation besides poojan related activities. He laid emphasis on forming new prasfootan committees and to expand their activeness. Informing about the metal collection campaign for the statue of Adi Guru Shankaracharya, Chouhan said that the main aim of the campaign is to spread the philosophy of Adi Guru among the people.

He expected cooperation in order to prepare an action plan coordinating with Acharya Sabha. Vice President Jan Abhiyan Parishad Pradeep Pandey informed about the activities and necessities of the campaign. Vote of thanks was proposed by Vice President Raghvendra Gautam.
