Mah govt accepts few recommendations of Adarsh Commission report

adershAgencies, Mumbai
After being snubbed by Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi and party president Sonia  Gandhi for rejecting the Adarsh Commission report, the  Maharashtra Cabinet today reviewed its own decision and  accepted a few recommendations.

A decision to this effect was announced by Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan himself after the Cabinet meeting here.

The rejection of the report received flak from top Congress leaders as well as Union Science and Techonology Minister Milind Deora. An action will be taken by the CBI against the benami flats  in the Adarsh society, he said and added that there will be no action against political leaders but against the bureaucrats.

Former Chief Minister Ashok Chavan had to resign following the controversy few years ago. There are at least three more former Chief Ministers whose name figured in the scam, other than Ashok Chavan.
