Madhya Pradesh bagged a number of awards in year 2012

Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan,Under the imaginative leadership of Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Madhya Pradesh received numerous awards/prizes in a number of sectors for innovative works and achievements during the year 2012.

Awards/Prizes
ISO Award was conferred to Eco-tourism Board for high-quality management. Green Global Foundation Award was bestowed on Madhya Pradesh Forest Department in February for constant effort towards environmental protection and conservation.

National e-Governance Award was conferred to Gwalior district for “Jan-Mitra Samadhan Kendra.” The President gave away four National Excellence Awards to Madhya Pradesh in tourism sector. The awards were conferred for Total Development of Tourism, Best Publicity Material, Best Film on Tourism and Best Civic Management of Tourist Spots in India.

The Government of India gave away National Silver Shield to Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company in March.
Nirmal Gram Puraskar was given away to 212 Gram Panchayats of the state.

United Nations Public Service Award was given to Madhya Pradesh Public Service Delivery Guarantee Act.
In June, Madhya Pradesh was conferred international prize at United Nations Rio+20 Earth Summit.
Union Social Justice Minister Shri Mukul Wasnik gave away prestigious National Trust Prize to Gwalior district for outstanding service in disabled welfare sector.
In September, Union Minister Shri Salman Khurshid conferred SKOCH Digital Inclusion Award for Madhya Pradesh for online monitoring software of Mukhyamantri Gram Sadak Yojna.
Madhya Pradesh received three national awards in September including Gold Award for e-payment, State of the Year Award and Agriculture Leadership Award-2012.
The Union Finance and Rural Development Minister gave away prize to Madhya Pradesh for introducing mobile banking in Maoism-affected villages of Balaghat district.
India Today Group declared Madhya Pradesh as the best state in macro economics sector.
The President conferred Shilp Guru Awards to two craftspersons of Madhya Pradesh Shri Ismail Sulaiman Khatri and Shri Harish Kumar Soni.
Madhya Pradesh bagged maximum four prizes of National Service Scheme.
In December, CSI conferred Nihilent Award to Madhya Pradesh at Kolkata for e-procurement.
Prestigious Manthan Award South Asia and Asia Pacific was conferred to Madhya Pradesh for recruitment of patwaris.

The President gave away prize to Madhya Pradesh at Chief Ministers’ Conclave in New Delhi for achieving highest agriculture growth rate.

The Union Government selected Madhya Pradesh for “Krishi Karman Award” for best performance in total food grain production.

IBN-7 Channel selected Madhya Pradesh in the category of Fast Emerging State. Lok Sabha Speaker Smt. Meira Kumar felicitated Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan for this achievement.
