Governor Shri Ram Naresh Yadav has said that love with nature is necessary for protection of human life. The mere mention of rose flower fills heart with spirit of love, brotherhood and harmony. Rose not only spreads beauty and fragrance all around, but also gives us healthy atmosphere. Governor Shri Yadav was distributing prizes to winners of 32nd All-India Rose Show here today.
The 2-day Rose Exhibition was organised by Madhya Pradesh Rose Society with the cooperation of Horticulture Department. Governor Shri Yadav distributed 5 All-India level gold medals and state-level trophies. Mayor Smt. Krishna Gaur, Additional Chief Secretary Horticulture Shri M.M. Upadhyay, Director Horticulture Shri Anurag Shrivastava and All-India Rose Society’s President Shri Alam Ahmad were present on the occasion.
Governor Shri Yadav said that life of rose flower is very short. It gives us the message of maintaining peace, love and harmony in adverse conditions. Life of rose among thorn is an ideal one. He said that we should move ahead in our lives struggling like rose flower.
The Governor said that farming of rose has assumed commercial prospects also. Its farming should be promoted in present context. For this, it is necessary to motivate cultivation of international species of rose. He said that soil and climate of Madhya Pradesh are very conducive for farming of rose. Shri Yadav exhorted to seek information regarding new techniques and species taking advantage of experts having come from Indian and abroad. It will help in increasing production and expansion of business.
Mayor Smt. Krishna Gaur said that roses are symbols of beauty. Roses play important role in removing tension from human lives in this busy era. Smt. Gaur said that rural youths should be made aware about farming of roses so that they can get employment opportunity through it.
Additional Chief Secretary Shri M.M. Upadhyay informed about efforts being made by the state government in rose production sector. President of Madhya Pradesh Rose Society Shri Sunil Prakash delivered the welcome address. Rose Society’s Secretary Shri S.S. Garde proposed a vote of thanks.
