Looking forward to World Championship at Qatar: Pankaj Advani

Ace Cueist Pankaj Advani, a multiple world title holder in Billiards and Snooker on Saturday said the Padma Bhushan Award conferred on him will boost his spirits to defend his title at the World Snooker and Billiards Championship to be held at Qatar from February 27 to March Two.

“I am going there to do my best to retain the title. Later there are many Asian Championships in Billiards in which I will play,” he added.

The 32 year-old Bengaluru lad, told UNI, “the honour bestowed on me is in recognition of my efforts to bring laurals to the country and it is a boost for me to do more better and encourages upcoming players. My focus is to encourage the youth to excel in their own profession or passion.”
