Lucknow : Taking forward the mission of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav to establish IT cities and parks with business enabling environment in the state, Lucknow Industrial Development Authority (LIDA) has decided to invite Expression of Interest (EoI) for selection of Anchor Investor to develop Information Technology Park at Lucknow on public-private partnership (PPP) basis.
Board of Directors of LIDA met here today under the Chairmanship of Infrastructure and Industrial Development Commissioner (IIDC) Anil K Gupta to chalk out the future course of action in this regard.
“State-of-the-art IT Park equipped with cutting-edge technology and Studio apartments based on ‘walk to office’ concept will be developed through public-private mode,” Mr Gupta said. Clarifying the concept of internal commercial and residential facilities proposed inside the IT Park, the IIDC said along with official space, service apartments would be built that would be leased exclusively to employees of IT businesses set up there or on project assignment basis.
Moreover, park would be an all inclusive, self-contained environment-friendly body with IT towers, conference and banking facilities, restaurants, kiosks, guest houses, waiting/transit areas, travel services, power sub-stations, export related facilities, training centres and health clubs.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of LIDA and Secretary Industrial Development, Sanjay Prasad informed that Pradeshiya Industrial & Investment Corporation of UP (PICUP) has been engaged as ‘Transaction Advisor’ for the project, while UP State Industrial Development Corporation (UPSIDC) will be engaged for external development of the proposed IT Park.
With an estimated cost of around Rs 285 crore, Lucknow IT Park is proposed to be developed in approximately 1,30,000 square meter land area.
Anchor investor would be selected by a ‘Developer Selection Committee’ on the basis of minimum criteria stipulated for this purpose.
