Aam Aadmi Party leader and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal along with 24 AAP MLAs today met Delhi Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung at Raj Niwas and asked him for the dissolution of the Delhi Assembly.
”Making accusations of horse trading, they asked for the dissolution of the Assembly,” a statement from the LG House said.
The Lt Governor said he will take into account the full situation and after due consultations with others, send in a detailed report to the President for his consideration, the statement added. At present, Delhi is under President’s Rule after AAP Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal resigned on February 14. At Present, in the 70-member House, the BJP has 28 MLAs in the Delhi Assembly after three of its MLAs were elected as Lok Sabha MPs from Delhi in the recent Lok Sabha polls.
