Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal, Various programmes were organized at WALMI under Kashmiri youth exchange programme ‘Watan ko jano’ as the six-day event, organised by Nehru Yuva Kendra in association with Ministry of Home Affairs, culminated. The kashmiri youths said they were returning to their state with golden memories of the time spent here.
Among those who were present during the concluding day ceremony were commissioner registration kalpana Shrivastava, Principal Income Tax commissioner and Gandhian thinker Dr RK Paliwal, Jagran Lakecity University vice chancellor Dr Anup Swarup and WALMI director Urmila Shukla.
Dr RK Paliwal said MP is the heart of the nation but most people know little about the state. Gandhi used to say the solution to every problem can be found by staying together. His ideals of non-violence are the only way to maintain peace and love.
On the last day the Kashmiri youth were informed about the opportunities present in the Indian government services with examples of the many Kashmiri youth who have joined the Indian services recently. The youth were also familiarised with the ideologies of Gandhi showing them the devastating consequences of violence as a solution.
The programme ended with the distribution of certificates to every participant in the programme. Kalpana Srivastava registrar of commissioner, Dr R K Paliwal principal Income Tax commissioner who is a Gandhian, Dr Anup Swaroop vice president of Jagran Lakecity University and Urmila Shukla director of WALMI were also present at the occasion.
