Staff Reporter, Bhopal Urban Administration & Development Minister Shri Babulal Gaur has said that we are moving much away from our culture and nature due to race for modernism. This distance is now visible in the shape of natural calamities frequently.
He said that instead of demonstrations for environmental preservation on roads, we should focus on conservation of water and other ingredients of nature in our demonstrations. Shri Gaur was addressing Jal-Satyagrah poetry recitation function of poet and story writer Shri Dhruv Shukla here today. On the occasion, Minister Shri Gaur and litterateur Shri Shashank also released book “Pashti Pravesh” written to mark completion of 60 years of the life of poet and writer Shri Dhruv Shukla.
Story writer Shri Dhruv Shukla said that importance of water has been highlighted in different ways in several episodes of Ram Charit Manas by Mahakavi Tulsidas. He said that country’s holy rivers and tanks can be preserved through devotion and not engineering. Awareness needs to be generated among people for this. He said that over 5 crore people had a holy dip in Ganga river during recent Mahakumbh. If the same people take pledge to purify Ganga then no government efforts will be required.
