Indira Gandhi’s decisions signified her strong will power: Governor

Governor Shri Ram Naresh Yadav administered National Integration Pledge on the occasion of former Prime Minister late Smt. Indira Gandhi’s birth anniversary at Raj Bhavan here today. Governor Shri Yadav paid tributes to late Smt. Indira Gandhi by offering flowers to her potrait.

Addressing Raj Bhavan officers and employees, Governor Shri Yadav said that late Smt. Gandhi had taken important decisions like abolishment of Privy Purses, nationalisation of banks, freedom of Bangladesh after 1971 war with Pakistan and country’s atomic programme. Shri Yadav said that late Smt. Gandhi’s decisions signified her strong willpower and her decisions gave India a global identity.
Principal Secretary Raj Bhavan Shri Vinod Semwal, Law Officer Shri C.C. Dwivedi, Deputy Secretary Shri Shailendra Kiyawat and senior officers and employees of all the departments were present on the occasion.
