GIA Organises Trade Education Seminar in Bhopal on Identifying Synthetic Diamond

Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal GIA (Gemological Institute of America), the world’s foremost authority in gemmology, organised a Trade Education Seminar (TES) on Jan.8, 2018, in Bhopalfor the members of Sarafa Association. A GIA instructor shared insights onthe topic, “Identifying Synthetic Diamond”, which detailedall about synthetic diamond growing methods as well as identifying characteristics of natural and synthetic diamonds. “As a public-benefit institute, GIA works to ensure public trust in gems and jewellery. The goal of these seminars is to educate the trade and instil product knowledge in members of the trade. This knowledge helps build consumer confidence in gems and jewellery. We are grateful to Sarafa Associationfor their support in this endeavour to help their members understand the important aspects of the gem and jewellery industry,” said Nirupa Bhatt, Managing Director for GIA in India and Middle East. The objectiveof these trade education seminars is to informand educate the trade members about the current and relevant topics related to the gem and jewellery industry.
