2-day biennial coordination meeting of RSS, frontal organisations begins


Chronicle Reporter, Ujjain A two-day biennial coordination meeting of RSS and its frontal organisations like BJP, VHP, ABVP, Swadeshi Jagran Manch and Kisan Sangh began amid tight security at Bharat Mata Mandir premises here on Wednesday. Besides RSS top brass Mohan Bhagwat and Bhaiyyaji Joshi, BJP leaders Ramlal and Ram Madhav are also participating in it. Informing about the proceedings of the meet, RSS spokesman Manmohan Vaidya said that such meetings are usually organised in January and September every year. “RSS is rendering services in 1.75 lakh social works. Our workers visit various sectors and meet people. What input they get from tours is shared in coordination committee meetings. They also share their experiences, observations and achievements,” he said. He also informed that policy decisions are taken in the meeting of Akhil Bharatiya Karyakarini Mandal, which generally meets in October every year. Vaidya claimed that people are coming close to the RSS in large numbers and they have noticed exceptional enhancement after 2010. “Youths are joining our shakhas in large numbers. A steep hike is noticed in the membership figures during past three years. During first six months of 2015, 31,800 people accepted the ‘join RSS request’. In 2016 during the same period 47,200 people joined the RSS while in the year 2017 in all 71,800 people joined us.” Vaidya said that efforts would now be made to strengthen district level workers and capacity building programmes will be organised at tehsil level.
