The Central Health Minister Dr Harshwardhan said that construction work of AIIMS will be complete by this year end. AIIMS Bhopal will become one of the leading institution with latest medical facilities in the country. Dr Harshwardhan was addressing the officials after inspecting the AIIMS. On this occasion state health minister Dr Narotam Mishra was also present.
Dr Harshwardhan inspected OPD and other construction works. He also talked to the patients who came for their treatment from far distances. He inquired about the latest medical equipments brought here to treat the patients.
Dr Harshwardhan said that all over the world people have faith in Indian traditional way of treatment. He also inspected the meditation and yog center. Central minister also visited administrative and medical college buildings. At present 200 medical students from all over the country studying in this prestigious institution. Later he also inspected girls and boys hostel and took lunch with students in the hostel mess.
Dr Sandeep Kumar informed Central Health Minister that AIIMS is constructed on 154 acres and Rs 518 cr have been sanctioned for various civil works and till date Rs 400 cr have been spent on the project. He informed that total Rs 815 cr will be spent on equipments and building to complete AIIMS.
