Indian shoooter Sanjeev Rajput created a games record clinching gold in the men’s 50m rifle 3 positions event at the 21st Commonwealth Games at the Belmont Shooting Centre. here on Saturday.
Rajput shot 454.5 creating a games record bagging the yellow metal, while Grzegorz Sych of Canada won silver with 448.4, and England’s Dean Bale claimed bronze with 441.2.
Another Indian shooter Chain Singh stood at no 5th with 419.1.
Earlier, in the 2014 Glasgow Games Rajput had clinched silver while had bagged bronze in the 2006 Melbourne Games. This is first gold medal in CWG and third overall in these Games.
