Visit of important sites on World Heritage Day
Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal, Several programs were organized in the capital on Thursday on the occasion of World Heritage Day. During this, World Heritage Day, Heritage Archeological Society, has visited several heritage sites of old Bhopal including Kamlapati Palace, Gohar Palace, Mausoleum of Faiz Bahadur, Mausoleum of Chameli, Moti Masjid, Sheesh Mahal, Shaukat Mahal, Sadar Manzil, Tazul Masajid and Gol Ghar and called for saving these heritages. Senior citizens were especially present with the team during the touring of monuments.
Global Warming and Acidic Rain is harmful for Heritages
On the occasion of World Heritage Day, inauguration program and photo exhibition was held in Raipur Mandal office premises. It was jointly organized by Indian Archaeological Survey of Raipur Mandal and Regional Natural Science Museum.
Manik Lal Gupta, a scientist of the Regional Natural Science Museum, appealed to the people that they should not exploit the world natural heritage including entire nature, but rather preserve them, By these measures, world heritage sites can be saved from the dangers like temperature rise, acid rain, floods even by staying away from erosion.
V. Gopinath, chief of Indian Bureau of Standards, Raipur, said that we should reduce the green house effect and our carbon footprint, which will be a meaningful endeavor to save world heritages.
Vice Chancellor of Pandit Ravi Shankar Shukla University, Professor Kesari Lal Verma said that there are many natural heritages are there in our country including world cultural heritage which are the examples of knowledge and skills of our ancestors, we should glorify them and by preserve them these should be handed over for the coming generation.
After observing the exhibition, all the guests appreciated the exhibition and expressed the desire that this exhibition should be seen by all the people.
Today, we have visited the archaeological heritages of Bhopal. The team included senior citizens and heritage experts. Its aim is to preserve the heritage.
