This was informed at the 22nd meeting of state-level coordination committee of non-banking financial institutions of Madhya Pradesh here today. As a result of it, the police will be bale to ensure effective action in financial crimes.
Reserve Bank of India’s Regional Director P.R. Ravi Mohan said that district-level seminars will be held to provide information about fraud financial institutions. He said that awareness camps will be held in several districts before model code of conduct for Lok Sabha elections comes into force. Secretary Home D.P. Gupta said that special police stations should be set up to dispose of financial crimes in districts like Bhopal, Indore and Gwalior and their staff should also be imparted special training. It was decided at the meeting that joint efforts should be ensured to take strict action against fraud financial institutions. Deputy General Manager, SEBI, Achal Singh gave a presentation on SEBI’s functioning and collective investment schemes. Reserve Bank’s Deputy General Manager Shubhendra Pati informed about agendas of the meeting. A film will be screened through SITI Cable in every district to create awareness among people. Ways to avoid fraud in financial institutions will be shown in the film.
