Choreographer-director-producer-actress Farah Khan turned 48 on Wednesday. Khan, who is not exactly keen on celebrating lavish birthdays, has planned to spend the special day at home playing board games with her close pals at night. She said she will prefer to have a get-together with near and dear ones at her home and play the game, which she is good at, media reports said.
According to reports, she has selected a group of Bollywood and non-industry folk, who love to fight the battle on board games like Trivial Pursuit till the wee hours of the morning.
As a matter of fact, Khan has divided the teams into town folk and suburbanites as several of her pals are from south Mumbai.
“I am sticking to my games night. There is also an open house kind of luncheon on January 9. Anyone can drop in!” Farah told NDTV.
Khan has won the Filmfare Best Choreography Award five times.
She is also the recipient of the National Film Award for Best Choreography – “Idhar Chala Main Udhar Chala” from the film ‘Koi Mil Gaya’ in 2004. Khan debuted as director with the film ‘Main Hoon Na’ which was a huge success.She became the second female director to be nominated for Filmfare Best Director Award.
Her second movie ‘Om Shanti Om’ became the highest grossing Hindi film of all time at its time of release. Off screen, she has judged several reality shows like ‘ Tere Mere Beach Mein’, ‘Indian Idol-Season 1 and 2’, ‘Jo Jeeta Wohi Super Star’, ‘Entertainment Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega’, ‘Dance India Dance Li’l Masters’, and ‘Just Dance’.
The multi-talented celeb is married to director-editor Shirish Kunder and is the proud mother of triplets. At present she is indulged in the making of her most ambitious project ‘Happy New Year’.
