Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has directed to establish e-office system in all government departments. In view of development and increasing number and e-governance projects, Chouhan directed to constitute project monitoring group and train officers in project management and designing.
Addressing a general body meeting of Madhya Pradesh Agency for Promotion of Information (MAP-IT) here today, Chouhan directed for maximum use of Hindi in information technology so that its use is increased in villages.
Chief Minister Chouhan directed to hold short-term training or orientation programmes during Vidhan Sabha session for apprising MLAs about use and various creative aspects of information technology.
Directing to increase number of capacity building centres in IT sector for augmenting capacity of government officers and employees, the Chief Minister said that proposals in this regard should be sent to the Central Government. It is noteworthy that 15 capacity building centres have been established at regional level at present. For this, MAP-IT has been appointed nodal agency.
The meeting was informed that MAP-IT is giving services of experts to various departments for helping in e-governance works and projects. IT cadre has been constituted at district level and contractual posts have been created under district e-societies. Madhya Pradesh is ahead of all states in the country in imparting e-governance training to officers at division level, computer training to officers and employees and expert level training.
