Minister of State for Energy and Mineral Resources Shri Rajendra Shukla has said that electricity has a vital role in removal village’s backwardness and ensuring their development. He said that feeder separation work has been taken up to ensure constant power supply to rural areas. Shri Shukla was dedicating a 33/11 KV renovated power sub-station at Jaslapur and separation of 11 KV Nimsaria feeder separation in Hoshangabad district yesterday.
MLAs Shri Girijashankar, Shri Vijaypal Singh, Shri Thakurdas Nagwanshi, Municipal Corporation Mayor Smt. Maya Naroliya, Janpad Chairman Shri Bhagwati Chaure, State-Level Antyodaya Committee member Shri Santosh Parikh, Central Region Power Distribution Company Managing Director Shri Nitesh Vyas, several people’s representatives and officers were present on the occasion.
Shri Shukla said that constant power supply will give a boost to local employment and lead to rural areas’ development. He informed that the State Government is committed to supplying power to rural domestic consumers for 24 hours from year 2013. The Minister of State informed that works to the tune of over Rs. 300 crore are underway in the state for power sector improvements.
They include 25 power sub-stations also. Describing Hoshangabad as a prosperous district, Shri Shukla said that record production of wheat in Hoshangabad has left Punjab’s districts behind. Farmers can produce more food grains when rural areas will start receiving uninterrupted power.
