Ekaatm Yatra is cultural campaign elated with social concerns: Chouhan

Signature Campaign to be conducted for Law to give Capital Punishment for Rape Accused during Yatra

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the Ekaatm Yatra is a cultural campaign related with social concerns. The message of social harmony will be given between December 19 and January 22 under the campaign.

‘Save girl child’ and woman security will be included in the campaign. Signature drive will be undertaken for making the law for capital punishment to rape accused during the Yatra. Chief Minister Chouhan reviewed preparations for Ekaatm Yatra through video conference.

CM Chouhan said that every section of the society should be connected for making this ambitious yatra effective. Saints will lead this unique and amazing campaign. Adi Shankaracharya had united the India culturally.

He gave philosophy of Adaivt (not two), and set up Chardham in the four different directions. His giant statue will be installed in Omkareshwar. Soil from every panchayat and ward of the cities will be collected in a metal pot during the Ekaatm Yatra, which will be used for constructing the stand for the statue.

Chouhan said that the aim of the Yatra is to unite the society. The yatra will be taken out from Ujjain, Omkareshwar, Panchmatha and Amarkantak of the state. Jan Samvad programme will be organised during the Yatra. Local Bhajan Mandalis will present programmes. Resolution letter will be read out.

Two main Jan Samvad programmes will be held in each district. Group recitation of Aadi Shankaracharya Strotam will be organised at divisional headquarters. Beside this, painting, essay and Shloka recitation contests will be held.Jan Abhiyan Parishad will coordinate the Yatra. Saints, social workers, intellectuals and every section of the society will be connected with it.

Statue installation ceremony will held in Omkareshwar with the participation of entire state on January 22. The yatra aims at public awareness drive for social harmony and unity. Ancient tradition of inculcating Sanskaras is being revived through this. Yuva Band will be a part of the Yatra.

Benefit of Bhavantar Yojana in Urad Procurement will be given till December 22

Chief Minister Chouhan issued instructions to procure Urad under Bhavantar Yojana till December 22. He told the collectors that monitoring should be made so that poor farmers and farmers producing less quantity can sell their crops.

They should be provided full support. It should be ensured that no farmer should be deprived of benefit of the scheme. He said that process to deposit amount of price difference will begin from December 23 for farmers selling crops in November under Bhavantar.

He said that all confusion related with Bhavantar has ended. Farmers are happy and the amount of price difference will be distributed by holding programmes.

Narmada Jayanti on January 24

CM Chouhan said that programmes to motivate the society and Narmada Seva Samitis will be organised for fulfilling objectives of Narmada Seva Yatra on January 24 on Narmada Jayanti.

He congratulated for success of plantation drive. He said that survival of plantation has been 92 percent in 24 districts, it is a matter of great happiness.This is a remarkable success. He told to give Rs 20,000 to farmers for planting fruit-bearing plants in February.

He pointed out for a need to focus on beautification of Narmada Ghats and cleanliness related works. Suggestions and preparations were discussed during the video conference.

Chairman of State Mining Development Corporation Shiv Choubey, Vice Chairman of Jan Abhiyan Parishad Pradeep Pandey and Chief Secretary BP Singh and Senior Officers were present in the meeting.
