Do not keeping pending cases of diversion, free hold land

Bhopal : Revenue and Rehabilitation Minister Rampal Singh chaired a meeting regarding revenue-related cases here today. Minister Singh said that revenue-related cases should be disposed of within time-limit. Cases of diversion and free hold land in all cities should not be kept pending. Revenue Inspectors and SDMs should take full interest in this work.

Minister Singh expressed displeasure of pending cases of diversion in Indore district and directed for strict action against concerning officers. He said that in future arrangements for online acceptance of applications should be made so that applicants do not have to take repeated rounds of tahasil/collector offices. Field officers of Revenue Department should have live contact with farmers. copies of khasra-khatauni and maps should be provided to farmers within time-limit. Minister Singh expressed happiness over revenue-related works in Shahdol division.

He said that a decision will be taken soon regarding lands of Rajas and Rajwadas. He said that officers should explore revenue-related cases and dispose them of. Works of revenue recovery should be undertaken on priority so that government’s income is increased. Disposal of diversion cases should be reviewed every month. Objections should be settled speedily.

If NOC is not given within time-limit, case will be deemed as disposed of. Responsibility to review cases should to assigned to one Revenue Officer in every division. Minister Singh said that a toll-free number should be started to receive complaints. Review meeting regarding diversion and recovery will be held every third Monday. Entire Revenue Department staff should work actively in districts. Revenue Department is linked to every citizen of the state.

Good performance will be appreciated. Responsibility to review diversion cases will also be entrusted to an officer at Mantralaya. During Minister’s tours of districts, SLRs and other officers should appear and inform him about their problems. He assured to provide vehicles to officers. Principal Secretary Revenue K.K. Singh and other departmental officers were present on the occasion.
