‘Dabangg’ girl shoot for ‘Bullet Raja’ in Kolkata

Sonakshi sinhaSonakshi Sinha’s Bengal connection is on a roll. Earlier, she shot major portions of ‘Lootera’ at beautiful locations of Kolkata with co-star Ranveer Singh and now she is back in the city to shoot for Tigmanshu Dhulia’s ‘Bullet Raja’.

She may not have been able to visit her father’s native place Bihar yet, but her tryst with Bengal continues. After shooting at picturesque locations on the outskirts of Kolkata with Ranveer and the crew of ‘Lootera’, the ‘Dabangg’ girl this time to shoot for the mafia drama, ‘Bullet Raja’. This is an upcoming gangster-thriller Hindi film, written and directed by Tigmanshu and produced by Rahul Mittra. The film will feature Saif Ali Khan opposite Sonakshi and also have Jimmy Shergill, Ravi Kishan and Chunky Pandey.

The film is set against the backdrop of Uttar Pradesh-based mafia while dealing with the underworld. The film will be released on September 6 this year. While Saif is donning a rustic look in this film and Sonakshi will be seen sporting an urban look. The Kolkata schedule of the film started on February 8 with a full-day shoot at Hedua Laha Bari.

It is one of the oldest heritage buildings of North Kolkata and the shooting started with the lead pair — Saif and Sonakshi. Tigmanshu, also the director of ‘Pan Singh Tomar’ will begin shooting for his next project ‘Bullet Raja’ in Kolkata. The director had already finalised all the location as he was on a hunt for the perfect places to shoot in the city.

He spent quite a few times in the city. The director will now start shooting for the second half of the movie in some striking locations in the city such as Kumartuli, Prinsep Ghat, and Northern Kolkata. Sonakshi and Saif will be filming a song sequence on the streets of Kolkata for over seven days. A 40-day film schedule was shot in Lucknow starting on November 6. Saif then took a break to go for his honeymoon, while Sonakshi took advantage of the break to shoot for an item song in Ajay Devgn’s Himmatwala.
