Constant review of Right to Information necessary to fulfil common mans aspirations

Bhopal : Legislative Affairs Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra has said that it is the bounden duty of every government and administrative person to be aware of parliamentary system and his/her own style of functioning in the democratic set-up where the people are the rulers. He said that for a responsive administration it is not only necessary to know the provisions of Right to Information Act, but constant review is also essential by experts of the subject. Due to it, this Act will prove true to the people’s aspirations more effectively.
Dr. Mishra was inaugurating a one-day seminar on the subject ‘Review of Right to Education Act is necessary?’ held here today. About 100 male and female professors of Madhya Pradesh’s colleges and schools participated in the seminar. A souvenir was also released at the seminar.

Principal Secretary Legislative Affairs Shri Vinod Semwal said that Right to Information Act has played an important role in streamlining governmental and administrative functioning.

Presiding over the workshop, former High Court judge Shri R.D. Shukla threw light on how Right to Information Act regulates the executive. Benaras Hindu University’s Prof. R.P. Roy expressed his views on the topic ‘Right to Information Act is effective in checking corruption.’

Earlier, Director of Pt. Kunjilal Dubey Rashtriya Sansadiya Vidyapeeth Shri L.C. Motwani threw light on the importance of Right to Information Act and democracy. Deputy Director Shri S.L. Yadav proposed a vote of thanks. Certificates were also given away to the participants.
