Question Hour in the Lok Sabha was washed out for the third consecutive day on Wednesday as the issue of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s allegations against his predecessor Dr Manmohan Singh of conspiring with Pakistan to influence Gujarat Assembly elections continued to agitate Congress party members.
With the Prime Minister in his seat in the House, Congress members led by Mallikarjun Kharge rose and started demanding his resignation as soon as Speaker Sumitra Mahajan proceeded to take up the questions of the day.
Trinamool Congress, Biju Janata Dal, Communist Party of India (Marxist), Rashtriya Janata Dal and other Opposition MPs were also seen rising in their seats along but whether they had any separate issue was not clear immediately.
Ms Mahajan asked the protesting members to take their seats but she soon announced adjournment of the House till 1200 hrs.
