Bhopal, Launching a scathing attack on the principal-opposition Congress, Prime Mnister Narendra Modi today alleged that the Congress – having failed to forge a credible alliance in the country – is searching for alliances outside the country.
Mr Modi made the statement while addressing the ‘Karyakarta Mahakumh’ organised by the party’s Madhya Pradesh unit here.
“Now, would other countries decide that who would be the country’s next premier? The Congress has lost power, but has it lost its balance too?” he asked.
Recently, Pakistan ex-Interior minister Rehman Malik had tweeted that Congress President Rahul Gandhi would be India’s next prime minister, and that Mr Modi is afraid of Mr Gandhi. Subsequently, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) took up the issue and alleged that ‘campaigning’ is being done from Pakistan for the Congress President.
