Cong says Modi’s ‘road show’ Thursday violated code; describes EC ‘captive puppet’ of PM

The Congress today attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for holding what it called a ’’road show’’ in Gujarat on the poling day Thursday, and condemned the Election Commission for allegedly ignoring the violation.

The Opposition party described the Election Commission as a ‘’captive puppet’’, of the Prime Minister .

Addressing a press conference here, Congress Spokesperson Randeep Surjewala said the Prime Minister had lowered the dignity of his office by holding the road show which was against the model code of conduct.
