Bhopal : Uninterrupted power supply and provision of other concessions to industries will become easier in 15 thousand hectare area with a view to accelerating the pace of state’s industrial development. For this purpose, 229 industrial centres and zones have been notified. Following the notification, these centres and zones are going to become even more active. Due to it, it will become easier in the concerning areas for industries to get uninterrupted power supply and avail other facilities, concessions and necessary sanctions from the State Government, which has issued a notification to this effect.
State’s 43 industrial development centres have also been notified including Food Processing Parks, Stone Parks and IIDCs. Through these, benefits will be extended to industries in 8,764 hectare area. Out of these industrial development centres, 4 have been established in Katni district, followed by 3 in Indore district and two each in Tikamgarh, Morena, Bhind, Hoshangabad, Dhar, Sagar, Satna, Khargone, Mandla, Chhindwara, Mandsaur, Dewas and Jabalpur districts and one each in Guna, Jhabua, Rajgarh, Raisen, Gwalior, Shajapur, Satna, Seoni, Singrauli and Rewa districts.
Industrial zones spread over an area of 6,164 hectares have also been notified by the State Government. Maximum 10 industrial zones are in Satna district, followed by 9 in Ujjain district, 8 each in Shajapur, Chhindwara and Mandla districts, 7 each in Ratlam, Mandsaur, Gwalior, Rajgarh, Indore and Tikamgarh districts, 6 each in Raisen, Dewas and Sehore districts, 5 each in Bhopal, Khargone, Barwani, Neemuch, Balaghat and Jabalpur districts, 4 each in Khandwa, Betul, Dhar, Shivpuri, Guna, Morena, Bhind, Vidisha, Chhatarpur, Damoh, Sagar and Narsinghpur districts, 2 each in Jhabua, Burhanpur, Datia, Shahdol and Sidhi districts and one each industrial estate has been notified in Sheopur, Harda, Panna, Seoni, Rewa and Datia districts.
