Colourful procession to mark opening of inter-university fest today

The Association of Indian Universities will celebrate its five-day cultural programme ‘Navonmesh’ in Bhopal in local association with AISECT University. On the opening day of the fest, a colourful procession of the invited participants will be taken out.

The procession will begin from Vrindavan Garden Hoshangabad Road. The young participants will show their talents and skills and make a presentation in their respective fields.

The procession will culminate at Scope campus. Giving this information AISECT University Registrar Dr. Vijay Singh said Navonmesh will promote the cultural diversity and traditions of the country and the fest has been organized as fine arts and other creative fields play pivotal role in the all-round development of student’s personality.

About 1500 participants from prestigious universities of the central zone (Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, UP, Odisha, Maharashrta, AP and Tamil Nadu) are taking part in the Unifest. Students of over 100 universities will display their talents and skills in diverse fields at the five-day grand function to be held from November 3 to 7.

AISECT University is the first private institution to convene such inter-university activity. The students will get the opportunity to show their aptitude in fields like music, dance, drama, poetry, essay, debate, among others.

Member of Parliament Alok Sanjar will be the chief guest of the inaugural function to be held at the AISECT University campus at Bhopal-Chiklod Road on November 3 from 6 pm. Minister of State Vishwas Sarang and Dr. Swaraj Puri, member MPPURC, will be the guests of honour.

The inaugural function will be attended, among others, by AISECT University Chancellor Santosh Choubey, Vice Chancellor Prof. AK Gwal, Association of Indian Universities (AIU) Joint Secretary Dr. Sampson David and Observer Prof. Ranjan Roy.
