AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal, who will be sworn in as the next Chief Minister of Delhi tomorrow, today hinted at the possibility of review of auto fares in Delhi following the CNG price hike in the national capital.
Mr Kejriwal questioned timing of CNG price hike in the national capital and said he will look into if the hike can be rolled back after he takes charge as the Chief Minister. ‘’CNG rates hiked in Delhi. Isn’t the time suspect?, Mr Kejriwal tweeted. The price of CNG in Delhi has been increased by Rs 4.50 per kg, to Rs 50.10 per kg, the Indraprastha Gas Limited(IGL) announced last evening.
IGL said because of hike in CNG prices, there will be an increase in cost of travel by autos by 13 paise per km while the increase in travel cost by taxi will be 22 paise per km and Rs 1.30 per km for bus travel.
