Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Goa will conduct a one day programme on changes on indirect taxes and Goods and Services Tax (GST) on February 23.
According to a statement from CII here on Wednesday, there have been several developments and changes proposed in Customs and GST from July 2017 and with the Union Budget for 2018-19 announcements in February 2018.
Indirect tax changes have always been very important for business as they impact the supply chain, pricing, logistics etc. Hence it is necessary to remain abreast of various indirect tax changes. As there has been a great demand from the industry for a GST programme, CII Goa will be conducting the one day programme on February 23, 2018, at Vivanta by Taj in the capital city.
The one day programme CII Goa would discuss various indirect tax changes proposed by the Union Budget and also the GST legislation in some degree of detail.The interactive programme will be found relevant and useful for all those working in the areas of finance, accounts, taxation, procurement, invoicing, stores and logistics.
Since this is a training programme, the objective is to provide broad guidance on the subject and the same should not be treated as an alternative to professional advisory services.
The programme has been structured and will be delivered by the domain expert M S Mani, FCS, FCMA who is a Consultant in Indirect Taxation, and has around 27 years of experience in the areas of Finance, Accounts, Indirect Tax and Supply Chain.
The Union Budget Changes in customs legislation, Changes in Customs rates, Announcements on GST, Other changes in indirect taxes, Taxability Provisions under GST, Place of Supply provisions, Time of Supply provisions, Job work and E-commerce, Valuation Provisions, Input tax credit provisions, Compliance provisions – Registration, Transition Credits, Returns and Payments, Refund Procedures, Assessments and Audits and Anti-profiteering provisions would be covered in the one day session, the statement added.
