Chilly Weather

With the blowing down the icy winds from the northern states of Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand the weather in the Madhya Pradesh has turned extremely chilly.

In the Gwalior and Chambal division in the northern region the temperature have dipped upto 5.6 degree Celsius. It is more cold than the hill station Pachmarhi where the temperature is at 6 degrees.

The State is having clear sky. But in the coming days winter rains known as “Mavta” are likely to occur in the state and cold conditions will aggravate further. In the Capital Bhopal the mercury dipped down by 4 degrees and now it is at 8.4 degrees.

The Weather Office has indicated that in the coming days the cold conditions will increase further. The prevalent cold conditions are favourable to crop conditions in the state.
