Children’s Day celebrated with fun & frolic at Campion

Children’s Day is celebrated in India to commemorate the birth anniversary of Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru. Future of India is in the hands of today’s child,” India’s first president Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru had remarked.

Nehru’s love of children is not unknown to us. As a tribute after his demise, children’s day is celebrated on November 14 each year in India. Children’s day celebrations mean fun and frolic for kids and are a tribute to ‘childhood.’

Like Every year this year also, teachers of Primary and Secondary Sections of Campion School have organized various cultural programme include dance, skits and a fashion show for the day, with teachers managing it all.

Making this day a special treat, management, teachers and staff of Campion School, Bhopal celebrates Children’s day today with full zeal, Fun, Frolic and enthusiasm in “Loyola Auditorium” of the School Premises.

Putting their school uniforms aside for a day, the children came dressed in colourful attires. The Pre-Primary children arrived at school, dressed in colourful clothes and were full of excitement during the special programmes organised for them.

The gracious presence of distinguished personalities always inspires the students to even greater heights of achievement.

The programme began with Lighting of the lamp & garlanded on the photo of Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru by the Chief guest and Principal Fr. Dr. Athnas Lakra S.J., along with Vice Principal Fr. Ajay kumar Kerketta S.J., Fr. Ashok Kujur S.J., Headmistress Sr. Pramila A.C., Sr. Crecentiya, Sr. Chitra, Senior most teacher Mrs. Lethika Laxmanan, Senior teacher Mr. Mahendra Kothari Sir, Mrs. Neetu Dongre, Mrs. Rubina Ali and students.

Thereafter Celebrations began with a prayer service conducted by Primary teachers. A Hindi Comedy Skit presented by secondary section named “Sakshaatkaar” makes the students laughed.

Another Hindi comedy Skit by Primary “Hai Re Mobile!!” makes the children’s so much laughed, documentary film on Good touch bad touch, Various dances on Film Songs by male and female teachers of Primary Section make the atmosphere so warm.

Special programmes of two Dances and Songs performed by the Slum students of the Slum areas take care by the Samman NGO who was invited guests on the occasion of Children’s day.

Programmes included informative play, enactment and songs. Dressed like Nehru, students of Campion school celebrated the occasion. Colourful programmes were presented by teachers of the school to celebrate Children’s Day.

Different Solo songs were presented by senior teacher Mr. Mahendra Kothari sir, Supti Biswas, Ashlesha Shiralkar, Sandeep haldar, and duet Song were sung by Mr CA Jose and Supti Biswas.

Mr. CA Jose sir and Kulranjan sir surprised the students’ audience when they come in the role and makeup of Virappan and Police Inspector. After this various dances from teacher Mr. Vibhore tiwari ‘Hum Kaale hai to kya hua’ and Mrs. Ashlesha Shiralkar on the song ‘Pinga ni Pori’ and Musical programmes made the school premises more vibrant and cheerful.

It was a festive atmosphere with children accompanied by their school friends watching the performances of their teachers. They cheered their teachers on as they saw them on stage, they laughed boisterously at their jokes, they sang along during the songs and they applauded the dance performances.

Group Dance on Malayalam song ‘Juhmki Kamal’ by the male teachers Mr. CA Jose, Kulranjan Toppo, Arun Trivedi and Vibhoer tiwari entertained the students so much. Parody song sung by the Newly Teachers of the Secondary section.

The main attractions of the day for which the students were waiting was Fashion show and Retro theme show in which teachers from Secondary section participated in the role and attire of different popular celebrities of film industries such as Rekha, Shridevi as Chandni film, Bajirao Mastani makeup etc.

Teachers were dressed up in a variety of traditional attire from various states. Children enjoyed it a lot. Various activities and events were organized and performed by teachers. The day had the theme of love. It was a fun-filled day for students of School.

The smiles, laughter and giggles added to the charm of the day. The students were overwhelmed with the entire effort. Prizes distribution was also taken place in the end of the programme.

On this auspicious occasion Principal Fr. and Fr. James said “Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru was extremely fond of young children. It is due to his love and passion that this day is marked as Children’s Day, thereby honouring childhood. Children are the world’s most valuable resource and its best hope for the future”.

These events aren’t just a celebration, but also develop planning, organization and team effort abilities in the students. The programme was a huge success as the students enjoyed and participated with the same spirit.

Principal Fr. Dr. Athnas Lakra S.J., expressed gratitude to all the participants. Vice-Principal, all the Primary and Secondary teachers, Staffs and Management and all the students were present to make the occasion a great success and a memorable one.

MC was done by Mrs. Aditi Tripathi madam. Vote of thanks was proposed by the Head boy Aditya Rampal and Asst. School Captain Justin Thomas.
