Chhatarpur district hospital to be modernised and expanded in 3 months

Minister of State for Scheduled Castes Welfare and in-charge of Chhatarpur district Shri Harishankar Khatik has said that work of modernising and expanding Chhatarpur district hospital will be completed within three months.

A provision of Rs. 11 crore 66 lakh has been made in the budget for this. MoS Shri Khatik was addressing a function after inaugurating Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel Free Medicine Distribution Centre at Chhatarpur on Saturday. Member of Parliament Shri Jitendra Singh Bundela, Chhatarpur MLA Smt. Lalita Yadav and Bundelkhand Development Authority Chairman Shri Umesh Shukla were also present on the occasion.

MoS Shri Khatik said that the State Government is committed to make available best possible health services to every citizen of the state. He said that Free Medicine Distribution Scheme will prove to be a milestone for weaker sections. Shri Khatik said that the district hospital will be upgraded to 300-bed hospital. Beside trauma centre costing Rs. 4.75 crore, it will also have a mother-child care centre to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 6 crore. He lauded collection of Rs. 1 crore 15 lakh through public participation for the hospital’s expansion.
