CNS, Hoshangabad Mentioning that water is crucial for human existence, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat today underlined the need to prevent river pollution.
“The water of our country’s rivers is getting polluted. If this is not checked in time then a day will come when a war will be waged for water and water will become the factor for mankind’s destruction,” he said while addressing the inaugural function of the Third Nadi Mahotsav in Bandrabhan about 10 km from this District headquarters.
Pointing out that science is a double-edged sword that man is employing for maximum utilisation of natural resources, Mr Bhagwat said people should now comprehend water’s usefulness and avoid overuse. “If human life is to be sustained then we will have to check increase in population. There is a greater need to plant saplings than give birth to children,” he added.
