It is important that ceasefire violations must top, Mr Jaitley told reporters here this afternoon.

Stop of violations on the border was itself a big Confidence Building Measure (CBS), the defence minister said when asked that opposition was now targeting the government on violations by Pakistani army.

He said this must stop before any country move ahead, indirectly referring to resumption of high level talks with Pakistan. However, he said “Our troops are capable to foil any infiltration attempts and also give proper reply to any ceasefire violation.”
