The Congress has recaptured power in Punjab and increased its vote tally in the Gujarat election despite Shankar Singh Vaghela quitting the Congress just on the eve of election. He had been leader of the Opposition in the Assembly. Had he not ditched the Congress the election in Gujarat would have very shaky for the ruling BJP there.
In Madhya Pradesh Congress has to improve its position much more. The Kolaras and Mungawli spirit should be maintained to go into the general elections to the Vidhan Sabha and soon after for the Lok Sabha.
