The highly popular Sunday free calling facility will continue for the landline customers of BSNL.
The Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) announced to extend its free Sunday calling facility for its landline customers. The offer by BSNL, which allows its landline subscribers to make free calls to any other phone or operator on Sundays, was supposed to be closed from February 1, 2018.
According to the BSNL, the free Sunday calling facility was extended in view of popular demand across the country.
The offer was first introduced in August 2016. Since then, the free calling service is available for all BSNL customers without any extra charge. The offer was made to encourage people to use landlines when they are at home and save on mobile phone bills, a BSNL official reportedly said.
BSNL, state-run telecom operator, is a leading broadband service provider countrywide with more than 14.35 million customers. It also has seven telecom factories with a large manpower (around 1,600) and elaborate infrastructure. The telecom factories are manufacturing several customer-end equipments and testing tools for internal consumption of BSNL.
Besides unlimited local/STD calling facility is also being provided on plans with unlimited high speed broadband on BSNL broadband Combo plans of Rs 1199 or above.
The starting minimum speed of broad band on these plans is from 10 Mbps to 24 Mbps. Besides on broad band combo plans with monthly tariff of Rs 600 or above the unlimited calling facility for Madhya Pradesh is being provided on additional payment of Rs 49 and for entire India on payment of Rs 98. Earlier this plan was available in select cities of MP and has been extended to entire state in view of its popularity.
