Noted off-spinner Harbhajan Singh today said the Asian countries should prepare bowling friendly pitches in the wake of the new ICC rules for the one-day internationals, which had put extra pressure on the bowlers. Talking to newspersons here, Harbhajan said, ‘the new rules would make things tougher for the bowlers specially the spinners.
With a compulsory extra fielder within the inner circle more runs would be scored even during the middle overs now.’ He suggested preparation of bowler friendly pitches especially in the Asian countries notorious for their flat batting turfs.
‘The pitches in Asian countries should be such that they provide some help to the bowlers. Unless it is done it would be very tough for the bowlers to bowl under the new rules,’ Harbhajan said.
Harbhajan want Sachin ‘back in action’ in ODIs

Talking to newsperson here, Harbhajan, also team-mate of Tendulkar in the Mumbai Indians Indians squad of the IPL and a long time associate in the national team, said, ‘Sachin is a great player and I would certainly love to see him in action again in the ODIs recalling his retirement.’ He, however, added that he did not want to make any comment on Sachin’s decision.
‘The decision of retirement is his own and I can’t say anything about this,’ Harbhajan said.
