BJP takes out torch rally to support demonetization

The showdown between the principal-opposition Congress and the ruling BJP in MP on demonetisation reached a crescendo on the note-ban’s first anniversary. While Congress observed Black Day to oppose demonetization, the BJP took out torch procession in its support on Wednesday.

Torch processions were taken out all over the state. The BJP organized symposiums, meetings and other programmes to apprise the people about the benefits of note ban. In Bhopal torch processions were taken out in 19 mandals.

Party MLAs, leaders, corporators and large number of workers took part in the torch processions. In Arera Mandal, the torch procession was led by district president and MLA Sunil Khatri. Party state spokesperson Rahul Kothari, Surjit Singh Chauhan, Sunil Pandey and other party workers were present on the occasion.
