- JAYS has also announced to field its candidate
- The contest could be triangular
- JAYS demands to give ticket to its workers
Sanjay Bajpai, Dhar,
The Congress has been dominating the tribal dominated Dhar-Mhow Lok Sabha parliamentary constituency. BJP has been lagging much behind Congress at this seat. However, this time Jay Adivasi Yuva Shakti (JAYS) has also announced to field candidate from Dhar and this could change political equations.
Recently JAYS organized mahapanchayat at Kukshi in Dhar. JAYS founder Hiralal Alawa said we would support the party that would give ticket to our candidates. If other political parties don’t give ticket to our candidates then we shall independently field our candidates in Lok Sabha seats. If JAYS fields candidate in LS polls from Dhar then the contest would become triangular.
BJP deliberating to save seat
BJP workers are very enthusiastic after the historic success of the party in 2014. The BJP organization is trying to repeat its success and retain the seat. Therefore the BJP organization has kept options open regarding distribution of tickets. According to sources, BJP could change its candidate in order to win. It is being said in political circles that MP Savitiri Thakur was not much active in the parliamentary constituency and so there is possibility of change of candidate.
Cong confident of victory
Congress has maintained dominance over Dhar Lok Sabha seat. Earlier Fatehbhanu Singh and Pratapsingh Baghel of Congress have won on one occasion each, Surajbhan Singh won twice and Gajendra Singh Rajukhedi won thrice. On the other hand BJP’s Chhatarsingh Darbar has won twice, while Savitiri Thakur has won once.
