Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal, Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) Councilor Manful Meena’s husband and party worker Shyam Meena has been suspended over a tussle with Bhopal MP Alok Sanjar and MLA Rameshwar Sharma, an official said.BJP’s Madhya Pradesh chief Rakesh Singh ordered the suspension of Shyam Meena late on Sunday.
The altercation happened earlier that day when Sanjar and Sharma were inaugurating a road in Councilor Meena’s area. Claiming that the road had already been inaugurated, Shyam Meena opposed them and got into a fight.
The BJP leader Shyam Meena had to pay dearly for arguing with party MLA Rameshwar Sharma and MP Alok Sanjar during bhumi pujan programme. BJP state president Rakesh Singh has removed Shyam Meena for misbehaving with MP and MLA. Singh has suspended Shyam Meena from the party’s primary membership. Media incharge Lokendra Parashar has confirmed the suspension of Shyam Meena.
MLA Sharma and MP Sanjar had reached Kolar for a bhumi pujan programme. Corporator Manphool Meena and her husband Shyam Meena stopped MLA Sharma and blocked his path. There were heated exchanges between the two and soon there was furor on the spot.
Slogans ‘BJP Zindabad’ and ‘Vidhayak Murdabad’ were raised. MP Alok Sanjar tried to pacify Meena but to no avail. Meena and his supporters manhandled Rameshwar Sharma’s supporters.
As Manphool Meena’s supporters created fracas, Rameshwar Sharma left the spot on his car. However, Sanjar remained on the spot.
Manphool Meena alleged that Rameshwar Sharma had come to perform the bhumi pujan of the work which was to be done through her corporator fund and was trying to take credit of the work. Manphool Meena has also accused Sharma of spending rs 20 lakh in assembly polls.
Media incharge Parashar said Manphool Meena’s husband Shyam Singh Meena has been suspended from party’s primary membership for indiscipline.
