CM meets Sangh chief to discuss election strategy
Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal
The Sangh has started looking for a formula or mantra to ensure BJP’s success in the assembly polls. Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat will be present during 3-day programme in Vidisha. All those issues would be discussed that could have negative impact on elections.
In the capital chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan met Sangh chief. The meet was meant to discuss strategy to ensure electoral success for the BJP in the upcoming polls.
This is the second such meeting between Chouhan and Bhagwat in the past one week. The two leaders met last week in Ujjain during BJP president Amit Shah’s visit to participate in the Shaiv Mahotsav.
The RSS is worried as the party lost Dalit’s support in the Gujarat polls. Bhagwat reached capital at about 10 am and had talks with the CM at Sangh office samidha. It is believed the main topic of discussion was elections.
During the meeting crucial matters related to anti-incumbency due to BJP’s 14-year regime and the promises that have been fulfilled during the same period were discussed. The meeting also reviewed the party position in the state ahead of the polls and work done by the state government to contain farmers’ unrest.
The CM is understood to have apprised the RSS chief about initiatives taken under the Bhavantar Yojana to financially support the peasants. He also invited Bhagwat to participate in Ekatma Yatra during his stay in Vidisha.
