Anganwadi food being sold at shops for cattle

Dalia and Khichdi, which is available free for children in Anganwadi, was found being sold at a shop. It is an incident from Shivpuri, where a shopkeeper was selling it at cheap rates for cattle. In the raid, many sacks were recovered from shop and the godown.

The women and child development officers will now investigate this matter. On Thursday, Nayab Tehsildar Gajendra Lodhi raided a shop in Kamlanganj, Shivpuri. In this shop, they found packets of Dalia and Khichdi, which government gives free to children in Anganwadi.

Shopkeeper Nand Kishore says that people sell me this food in packets, which is bought further for cows and buffaloes. Nayab Tehsildar Lodhi says that this matter needs to be investiagted to know who sells Anganwadi’s food in market.
