Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal, Leader of opposition Ajay Singh has urged PM Narendra Modi to institute an impartial probe into the e-tendering tampering case. He appealed to the PM to stop the massive corrupt practices in the state and order an impartial probe into the e-tender tampering case.
Singh alleged that contrary to PM Modi’s announcement of “Na khaunga, na khane dungaa (corruption-free)” environment, the Madhya Pradesh BJP government is indulging in massive corruption practices.
Singh urged the PM to take a firm stand on the issue because the Shivraj Singh Chouhan government was trying to cover-up the scam. He said PM Modi initiated the Digital India movement which received a tremendous jolt with the exposure of the e-tender tampering scam.
The Congress leader said investigations have been handed over to the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) which does not have cyber experts. Government has over the years paralysed the functioning of the EOW.
Ajay Singh claimed that the recently exposed e-tendering irregularities have tarnished PM’s plans and wishes of Digital India.
Leader of Opposition alleged that the irregularities have been exposed from three tenders issued by the state department of Public Health Engineering with a fiscal estimate of Rs 1000 crore.
Out of the three tenders, two are connected to the project in Rajgarh district which the PM scheduled to inaugurate during your visit to the state.
